SEA OTR Rectifier and converter

Special OTR transformers for metallurgy and the iron processing industry. These are transformers with a power of up to 100 K, with flow control, booster or autotransformer and low-voltage inputs made of tubular or copper plates. The most important factors that should be taken into account when designing furnace transformers are the high currents required for the melting process and the high amplitude of the secondary voltages, which are regulated by the RPNs under load or directly on the high-voltage winding or via an intermediate transformer in the same housing. These transformers are subject to cyclic loads and must withstand high electrical, mechanical and thermal voltages, as well as frequent overcurrents and surges caused by internal short circuits in the furnace or by the decoupling of a high-voltage switch. For industry, every process stop is fraught with a loss of productivity.
SEA can produce single-phase and three-phase transformers for arc furnaces, bucket furnaces, recovery furnaces (metallurgy) and for special applications, as well as for DC furnaces, which are usually installed in combination with a rectifier. Due to many years of work, we have created proven calculation procedures, modern design and verification programs, which now form a technological basis that allows engineers to successfully track progress and solve problems of any complexity formulated by customers.
